GIZMO & FRIENDS EARLY BIRDS SOLD OUT

Blokes Events proudly announces that the Early Birds for the launch edition of DJ GIZMO & FRIENDS on 17 April @ Pip The Hague are sold out. There is more news: the second batch of tickets will be sold at a discounted rate, all other ticket holders will get some drinks: on the house.

Life has been hard enough as it is in the past year with all the COVID restrictions and high inflation. Blokes Events wants this first edition of GIZMO & FRIENDS to be something to remember. What more can we do?

We are so happy with our line-up. For those who missed it, here we go again: from the southern regions of the Netherlands DJ Potato was the last friend who confirmed his attendance. The turntable wizard ALL-STAR FRESH will kick off with a one-hour Oldschool set at our main stage, and will later challenge Gizmo for a one-time-only scratch battle live on stage.

If this is not enough, ROB & MC JOE will take the main stage, followed by BUZZ FUZZ, and a back-to-back set with GIZMO & STANTON hosted by MANIA MC.

B-SIDES & TECHNO BUNKER
We realize that one stage is not enough. That is why we introduce a  second old-school rave area: the B-SIDES. At this second stage, BOBBY N will kick off the sound followed by ALEXANDER DE KONING, SEDUCTIVE, VREESTYLE, ANDY RAW, DEFENDOR, and RUFFIAN.

To convince every last party animal to join us on Easter Sunday Blokes Events has another stage to blow your mind: TECHNO BUNKER. A third stage where the young and very talented DJ BASICZ will kick off the day with one hour set, followed by VRSTL, FENDERBOL, JACK DOE, MARICHIO, and no one less than MIKE TIERRA.

DJ POTATO and BASICZ added to line-up

As if it was not enough already DJ Potato and upcoming talent Basicz are added to the DJ GIZMO & FRIENDS line-up. For over 20 years Potato is a household name in the hardcore scene. There are not many DJs in the scene who after all those years behind the turntables have such an enthusiastic and active group of followers. Where Potato plays, the crowd goes wild.

 

Blokes Events proudly announces DJ Potato & DJ Basicz as the last two friends of DJ Gizmo to show their skills. “I am just very excited to perform in The Hague again”, DJ Potato said.

“I have performed only there only two times before: at the Darkravers’ Birthday Bash and a beach party organized by the Outsiders.” Potato was 14 years old when he started his DJ career. He used to shave his head like a potato, that is how his nickname became his artist name, which was more than 20 years ago.

“The crowd in The Hague is always amazing. I am going to play an exclusive set with a lot of flashbacks from the nineties and other old-school samples”, he concluded.

Potato: “These guys are all legends. They meant so much to me growing up in the nineties. They all have typical own style, that is what makes them so good.”

BASICZ

Basicz started mixing records at the age of 11, not only to mix tracks but because of his passion for music and the energy it gives him. “The concept of Gizmo & Friends is amazing: a party organized by friends for other friends. Especially now after all those months of lockdown and limitations”, he said.

The waiting is over. The line-up for the first edition of DJ GIZMO & FRIENDS is complete. DJ Stanton and Jaydee both confirmed their attendance at our new party concept on April 17 at PIP the Hague. These last two ‘old friends’ of Gizmo are no ordinary DJs: they both had a massive impact on the development of the Dutch house scene.

Blokes Events proudly announces DJ JAYDEE (Robin Albers) and DJ STANTON as the last two friends of DJ Gizmo at the main stage. We all know the legendary Jaydee from his dance hit in the nineties ‘Plastic Dreams’. A classic that was a hit far beyond the borders of the Netherlands.

The technical master from Rotterdam, DJ Stanton, will treat the audience to a 1,5 hour back to back old-school set together with our host DJ Gizmo. We are all counting the days for this first time ever duo performance.

The line-up is now complete: at our main stage, ALL-STAR FRESH will kick off with a one-hour Oldschool set followed by Jaydee. The legendary grandmaster of the turntables All-Star Fresh will stay a bit longer: he will challenge Gizmo for a one-time-only scratch battle live on stage. If this is not enough, DJ ROB & MC JOE will take the main stage, followed by BUZZ FUZZ hosted by MC RUFFIAN.
